You may be one of those students that is using your education to become a more modern, cosmopolitan person by exploring new opportunities and finding new career choices. You may also want to explore opportunities for change and role play, and participate in creative activities that can help you feel and act like a student in a brave new world. But where should you start?In this essay, we will look at the topic of one entertainment as a form of control and help you identify new writing opportunities in this brave new world. As a teacher and administrator, I see new students in my classes that recognize they need to become more creative, funny, or thrilling if they want to succeed. This leads to them exploring opportunities in one form of entertainment, even though I want to challenge t hem to use other options too.One entertainment as a form of control is writing an essay on a subject that fascinates you. Now, this may not seem like a good topic for an essay. After all, it is very difficult to do anything but write about yourself when you have no external stimuli to give you ideas. If you consider this to be an appropriate essay topic, then it seems to me that your essay is failing you. You already know what to write, so why are you even reading this essay?Instead, start by focusing on the stories that inspire you and help you look at life's problems in a new light. This may be the story of a dog at a dog park. It may be the story of a troubled relationship. It may be the story of a vacation. It may be the story of one of your pet's dogs having a meltdown.Often, when we take a look at life from a new perspective, we find ourselves focusing on things that we once ignored. The old adage 'You cannot beat what you cannot see' comes to mind. While we can learn about th e bad in life, we cannot beat it with good will. So what can we do to beat the problem?One entertainment as a form of control is writing about it! Whether it is the story of one dog at a dog park, a relationship that has fallen apart, or an exotic vacation that piques your interest, I challenge you to take a chance and write about it. Write it down.A common story that takes place at a dog park is the story of two dogs competing for their attention. When the contest turns physical, you can be sure it will be very entertaining. Writing it down, enjoying the experience, and having a better understanding of how one can turn a small confrontation into a larger battle, is one way to deal with a challenging situation.What can you learn from this life's challenges? Many students have a better understanding of how to survive life's struggles, but all too often they abandon that knowledge because it does not fit their personalities or are afraid to do it themselves.
